I. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- Vocabulary : Things in nature : mountain, river, waterfall, forest, cave, desert, lake, beach, island, valley.
- Language : Polite requests.
2. Skills: Listening, speaking about different natural wonders of the world.
3. Attitude: Love and know how to protect the natural wonders of the world.
II. PREPARATIONS:
Teacher: text books, recording, laptop, T.V.
Students: Text books and workbooks.
III. ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
- Students may know more about natural wonders of the world in Vietnam.
- Collect more interesting information about these places.

I. WARM UP (6’/IW) Chatting
T shows some pictures of Ha Long Bay, Phong Nha cave, Ayers Rock on the screen.
Ss look at the picture and answer T’s questions.
T : What is it ?
S1 :It is Ha long Bay.
T : Where is it ?
S2 : It is in Quang Ninh Province.
T: Is it beautiful ?
S3 : Yes, it is.
T : It is one of the natural wonders of the world.
T writes the title of the lesson “ Natural Wonders of the world”

A. GETTING STARTED
II. NEW LESSON
1.Listen and read (15’/IW/PW)
-Teacher sets the scene by asking Ss about the picture
+ What can you see in the picture?
+ Where is it? Do you know this place?
T plays the recording.
Ss listen and read the dialogue in groups of 4 .
T checks some groups.
1a: Answer the following questions
- Ss work in pairs. Allow them to share answers before discussing as a class.
T checks and give comments.
1b: Put the words in the correct order.
- T tells Ss to refer back to the conversation to find the phrases.
Ss work in pairs to write the correct sentences
T ensures Ss add appropriate punctuation
( capital letters, question marks)
Practice saying them together. Focus on the rising intonation at the end of these questions.
1c: Brainstorm situations when people use these sentences. Then role play the situations with a partner.
Ss work in pairs to practice the example conversation.
T asks Ss to develop other conversations.
T can help them by supporting with suggestions.
T calls some pairs to perform for the class.
2 . Listen and repeat the following words. (6’/PW)

Ss listen and repeat.
T can explain the words that ss don’t know.
